How to enable TLS 1.1 and 1.2 in Outlook on Windows 7 Print

TLS protocol version 1.0 is not secure and as such needs to be disabled on our servers due to PCI compliance. If your PC is still using Windows 7/8, the applications built on WinHTTP (Windows HTTP Services) such as Outlook, Word, etc. only support TLS v1.0. Due to this, when you try to establish a secure connection from your Outlook mail client to the WireNine servers, Outlook will display an error similar to this:

 "your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified".

In order to resolve this issue and allow Outlook to communicate securely with WireNine mail servers using TLS 1.2, you will have to follow these instructions:
